An American stand-up comedian Brooks Wheelan was born on 21st August 1986 in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, U.S. Most recently, he was a cast member of Saturday Night Live for 2013-14 season. He attended University of Iowa and got graduated with a biomedical engineering degree from there in the year 2009. He was born to Chris and Jim Wheelan. While he was growing up, he had an interest which was focused on science and mathematics.
Wheelan started his comedy career while he was still in his high school in Iowa. During his time in college, he had performed throughout the Midwest and besides that, he was also a contributor writer for the CollegeHumor.com. Brooks began to work as a stand-up comedian locally in Iowa and after completing his graduation from college, Wheelan moved to Los Angeles and then he started to work as a test engineer. In the year 2012, Wheelan was invited to do performance as part of the Comedy Central’s Top 10 Comics to Watch at the New York Comedy Festival.
Apart from that, Brooks Wheelan was also a new face as prestigious Just for Laughs Festival in Montreal. Prior to that, he was a recurring guest on Saturday Night Live’s Weekend update where he used his stand-up stories as the public service announcements against irresponsible behavior. He also had already worked with many comedians like Nick Swardon, Daniel Tosh, Louis CK, Jeffry Ross and many more.
Brooks Wheelan joined the cast member of Saturday Night Live as a featured player in September of 2013. Working for one season, Wheelan announced on 14th July 2014 via Twitter that he is no longer working as a cast member of SNL. He stated that he was “Fired from New York, It’s Saturday Night”. Wheelan has also recorded his television debut for Comedy Central’s Adam DeVine’s House Party. As he has maintained to keep his profile low, we do not have more information about his personal life.
