A German football player Emre Can was born on 12th January 1994 in Frankfurt Germany. He plays for Premier League club Liverpool as a midfielder. At the beginning of his career, Emre started playing in the year 2000 for SV Blau-Gelb Frankfurt. He then joined the youth academy of Eintracht Frankfurt in 2006. He had received call-ups for the German U-15, U-16 and U-17 youth football teams. On June 10, 2009, he played his first game for Germany which was for Germany’s U-15 team against Poland.
Later, in 2009, Emre Can moved to Bayern Munich youth system. He then made his senior debut in 2011 for the reserve squad of the club in the Regionalliga Bayern. He earned several caps to the Germany U-19 squad in the year 2012. He made his first team debut in the 2012 DFL-Supercup for Bayern’s first team and his Bundesliga debut on 13th April 2013 against 1. FC Nurnberg. The same year in August 2, Can signed a four year deal with Bayer Leverkusen. Can netted four goals and notched up four assists in his first and only season at Leverkusen.
Later, it was confirmed on 5th June, 2014 that Can would switched to Premier League runners up, Liverpool on 1st July. Later in a week in a press conference, manager Brendan Rodgers said that Can was an “inspirational young talent”. Apart from that, Emre Can is of Turkish ancestry and he would also be eligible to play for the Turkey national football team but he stated that he “likes playing for Germany very much, an wants to make it in the DFB”.
