Harriet Wran is the daughter of late NSW premier Neville Wran who was born in 1988. She is the second youngest child of five children. She attended two of the Sydney’s most prestigious private girls’ school named Ascham and SCEGGS Darlinghurst. She was a student at Sydney University where she was studying Modern and Ancient History. It was clear from her early age of 20s, that alcohol and drugs were becoming a recurrent problem. She was in and out of rehabilitation clinics for half a dozen times and also suffered from anorexia.
26 years old Harriet has been charged with murder, attempt murder and aggravated break and enter along with boyfriend Michael Lee and Lloyd Haines. The trio went to the public housing unit of drug dealer Daniel John McNulty where he was killed. Along with McNulty, his housemate Brett Fitzgerald was also stabbed and he used the shoe rack to fight off with two men using a knife and a hammer.
Harriet was arrested on Wednesday from Liverpool railway station while she was still wearing the clothes that she was wearing at the time of Mr. McNulty’s murder. During the time she was arrested, she had no money nor any credit cards. She stated to the police that she was numb on ice that night and she did not went to the apartment with the intention of killing. She also reported that she was froze when the fight broke out.
Harriet was found living with in a rented granny flat in the year 2012. She shared that flat with another man. She used to pay $100 a week for the flat. The landlord stated that a large group of men would show up every time of day and night. She made her last public appearance at his father Neville Wran’s funeral in May 2014.
