An American actor, model, producer, comedian, writer as well as a director of the movies Marlon Wayans was born on 23rd July 1972 in New York City, New York, U.S. He is mostly known for White Chicks, Scary Movie 2 and Scary Movie. As a child, he was named as Marlon Lamont Wayans. He is the son of Elvira who is a homemaker and social worker and Howell Wayans who is a supermarket manager. Wayans family was involved religiously with Jehovah’s Witnesses.

He was raised up in the housing projects of New York City. Wayans is the youngest among ten siblings. He attended Fiorello H. LaGuardia High School of Music and Arts in New York City and graduated from there in 1990. He then went on to join Howard University. Wayans made his film debut in I’m Gonna Git You Sucka in the year 1988 when he was at the age of 16Marlon had made an appearance in several national commercials before appearing as a regular on the sketch comedy series “In Living Color”.

It also featured brothers Keenen, Damon and Shawn and sister Tim. He then co-starred in the WB sitcom The Wayans Bros with brother Shawn Wayans from the year 1995 until 1999. The following year, in 1996, Marlon again teamed up with his brothers to film Don’t be a Menace to South Central While Drinking Your Juice in the Hood. His other filmography credits includes Mo’ Money, Above the Rim, The 6th Man, Senseless, The Mangerine Bear, Behind the Smile, The Ladykillers, Norbit, G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra, Marmaduke, A Haunted House, The Heat, and A Haunted House 2. 

Prior to that, Wayans has also produced two films of the Scary Movies series in which he and his brother Shawn were credited writers and co-stars. Scary Movie was released in 2000 and its part 2 was released in 2001. In addition to the scary Movies series, Marlon and his brother Shawn have starred in the popular spoof films White Chicks, Little Man, and Dance Flick. He has also produced the Nickelodeon cartoon series Thugaboo.

He has appeared in Requiem for a Dream as Tyrone C. Love and in Dungeons & Dragons as Rogue. In addition, he has also hosted the 2000 MTV Video Music Awards. His other television credits includes The Best of Robert Townsend & His Partners in Crime, Mr. Show with Bob and David, Waynehead, The Parent ‘Hood, Comics Come Home 4, Happily Ever After: Fairy Tales for Every Child, Six Degrees, Second Generation Wayans and Funniest Wins. 

To talk about his personal life, standing tall at the height of 6 feet, Wayans is married to his long time girlfriend Angelica Zackary. They exchanged their vows in the year 2005. The couple has two children together, a son named Shawn Howell and a daughter named Amai Zackary.
