An American professional skateboarder, entrepreneur, actor, producer as well as reality TV star Rob Dyrdek was born on 28th June 1974 in Kettering, Ohio, United States. He is mostly known for appearing in reality shows Rob and Big, Ridiculousness and Rob Dyrdek’s Fantasy Factory. As a child, he was born as Robert Stanley Dyrdek to his parents Gene and Patty Dyrdek. While he was child, he was involved in sports but when he reached at the age of eleven, he began skateboarding. He received his first skateboard from the professional skateboarder Neil Blender.
Rob turned professional for Alien Workshop when he was at the age of sixteen. He then moved to California for continuing his professional skate career. Soon after that, he began to ride for Droors Clothing. It was a company that was then transformed into DC Shoes. He has set 21 separate Guinness World Records for skateboarding as a part of his former show Rob & Big.
Prior to that, Rob has also made his appearance in television. He first starred in an MTV reality series titled Rob & Big which was aired on November of 2006 until April 2008 along with his best friend and bodyguard Christopher “Big Black” Boykin and his cousin Chris Pfaff and friend Rashawn Davis. He then landed a spin-off series in February of 2009 which was titled Rob Dyrdek’s Fantasy Factory that also featured Pfeff and his Dyrdek enterprise staff.
In the same year, he made a movie which was entitled Street Dreams. In addition to that, he has also been featured in the video games such as skate and skate 2. He made his appearance in Jackass 3.5 in 2011 in a scene with Johnny Knoxville. The same year in 29th August, he also started in another show with MTV network titled Ridiculousness. The following year, he appeared on the TV show Punk’d. he was also featured in the documentary n\called Waiting for Lightning which was about his friend and fellow skater Danny Way.
Standing at the height of five feet and seven inch, Dyrdek has a net worth of $15 million. He has also been named as one of the most influential skateboarders in history by Fox Weekly. Dyrdek is sponsored by Alien Workshop, DC Shoes, Silver Trucks, Reflex Bearings, Spy+Optics and Monster Energy drinks. In addition, he also co-owns the brand named Rogue Status with Travis Barker.
Apart from that, Dyrdek has also founded the foundation in the year 2003 which is named Rob Dyrdek Foundation. It is dedicated to building LEGAL skate parks for skateboarders in their communities. Besides, he is also the founder of the Street League Skateboarding (SLS) skateboard competition enterprise. In addition, Rob is also selling his own line of products which is related to skateboarding like Athletic shoes from DC shoes.
